I just diagnosed myself this week after suffering mightily for 5 years (since the birth of my last child). I have seen 4 different GI doctors with no results whatsoever. Colonoscopy was normal. However I was miserable and so bloated I thought my abdomen would surely explode and that I would never poop again.
I found the low FODMAP diet and it has already changed my life in 3 days. I workout 4/wk and so in tracking my diet, I can see that I am upping my fats quite a bit and lowering my carbs. Question is… what should the ratios be for fat percent/ carb percent/ protein percent for someone with an active lifestyle? Also do you have any suggested daily diet plans that ensure the proper distribution of calories? I am a 45 year old female. Thank you!!!
